Re: OpenBabel-2.0.0

Geoffrey Hutchison
Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear that Open Babel isn't working with the SGI compiler. We have used the __FUNCTION__ for debugging purposes -- it's a GCC extension, but supported by a number of compilers. On Windows, this is set to NULL using the babelconfig.h file.

If you have an alternative cross-platform symbol or function, we're all ears.

Cheers,
-Geoff

Hello,

Open Babel 2 is no longer working straight out of the box on an sgi system.
You have implemented gnu gcc only features like __FUNCTION__.
Is there a chance I can convince you to use the same kind of function coming from the glib and that can be used no matter the compiler you have?
